- I created a listing but it is not showing up on the website.
Many times this is due to the listing not being paid for. We charge $6 per listing, which can be paid via paypal in your Seller Hub. We post all items 24-48 hours after payment clears.
- I was considering buying an item but it seems to have disappeared from the site. What happened?
The item has probably been sold. All sold items are deleted from our website after a few days.
- I have received a suspicious email from a potential buyer. How do I know if it is a scam?
If you have received a contact email you find suspicious, it is most likely a scam. These types of contact emails often include poor spelling and grammar and a generic message. The buyer will not be interested in asking questions about what you have for sale, just in sending you payment. They will also likely have a reason they cannot use Paypal. If you are speaking with someone who's messages meet this description, discontinue emailing them as it is likely a scam.
Email scammers are prevalent online, and can attempt contact through many forms, including websites like Pageant Resale. For this reason, we always highly recommend the use of PAYPAL when making transactions online. Cashier's checks, money orders, and personal checks are not a safe form of payment. Scammers will often ask to send one of these types of payment methods via the mail. If you feel someone is attempting to scam you, please forward us any communication you have had with them to firstname.lastname@example.org for investigation.

- How long does it take for items to be posted after they have been added to my Seller Hub?
It can take anywhere from one to 48 hours for your items to be posted live on our site. This usually depends on how much volume we are receiving. All requests are taken on a first come, first serve basis. Once we have your photos, descriptions, and payment we will do our best to approve your items as soon as possible. You can speed up this process by sending payment at the same time you submit your listings via the Seller Hub.
- What is the cost of shipping?
The cost for shipping and handling varies by seller and item type. Most sellers will quote a shipping cost once they have received your address. Unless otherwise noted on the site, shipping is not included in the list price.
- I attempted to contact a seller but have not received an email from them. I am interested in an item for sale. What should I do?
If you have given the seller a reasonable amount of time to contact you and they have not, please Contact Pageant Resale. We will do our best to get in touch with the seller and have them contact you. You may also want to check your spam or junk folder as sometimes emails are filtered to these areas.
- How do I send photos to you to be posted?
Photos can be uploaded directly to the website when creating a listing. You must register for an account before you have access to our Seller Hub for listings. Photos should be edited before they are uploaded to the website.
- How do I sell with you?
It is easy to sell with us! You will need to sign up for a new seller account on our homepage. It would also be a good idea to read through our "How to Sell" page for detailed instructions.
- Do you take a percentage of the final purchase price on my items?
No we do not! The benefit to selling with us over other consignment stores and eBay is that we do not take any percentage of your earnings. We ask for an upfront listing fee of $6.00 per item but there is never another cost to you.
- How do my items become "Featured"?
You can list your items as "Featured" for two weeks by paying a $4.00 additional fee. Being featured means that your item will be listed in the special featured box at the top of the category page. Your item cannot be bumped, and will be one of the first items on that page to be seen. As of August 2014, featured items will also be posted to our social media pages including Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter. In order to qualify for the social media post, your item must meet all of our requirements including having original photos with your ad.
- How much does it cost to list?
Our listing fees are very reasonable compared to other consignment websites and Ebay. One 6 month listing is $6.00. You may also elect to be Featured for an additional $4.00.
- I created my listing, but my photos were deleted. Why?
Photos from designer websites, stock photos, or photos with copyright marks are not permitted on Pageant Resale. You may only post original photos, which you have the rights to. If we see a designer stock photo, we are forced to delete it before posting your listing.
